Interactive pre-hearing preparation tool for practicing lawyers.
This is a courtesy English translation of terms originally written in Portuguese. In case of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
Coach is an interactive preparation tool. It is not a forensic device, not a polygraph, not judicial evidence.
Use is restricted to 1-on-1 sessions between the lawyer and the client(s) or witness(es) of the case in which the lawyer acts. Use is prohibited in sessions with opposing parties, with witnesses called by other parties without their knowledge, or in any context that breaches the lawyer's professional privilege.
It is absolutely prohibited to attach reports produced by Coach to court filings, or to submit them as evidence in any forum. Coach is a private preparation tool; its outputs are for the firm's internal use.
On starting a session, the lawyer declares that they have obtained the client's informed consent for the prosodic analysis. A consent template is provided at /coach/consent-template.pdf (PDF for download and printing).
The voice is sensitive personal data. Coach processes the audio in memory, stores only the extracted features (numbers) on the Tier 2+ plans that offer retention, discards the raw audio on every plan within 60 seconds of processing, and lets the lawyer request deletion of the session at any time. Legal basis: explicit consent of the data subject (client/witness), mediated by the lawyer.
When the lawyer chooses to use the Vault (a Tier 2+ exclusive feature), additional identifiable data is stored at rest. Part is encrypted via Fernet (AES-128-CBC + HMAC-SHA256) with a key managed by the Operator; part is stored as plain text protected by file permissions:

Automatic daily purge via cron when the window expires. DELETE /api/coach/cofre/clients/{id} removes the client + briefs + tags immediately; retroactive session work stays queryable by session_id but unlinked from the profile. Permanent deletion via the cofre-wipe-client CLI (operator) destroys the entire chain (client + sessions + responses + tags + briefs + PDFs on disk).
Portability (LGPD Art. 18): a full JSON export via the cofre-export CLI includes all retained data (raw features, deltas, brief HTML, PDF metadata).
The Operator does not access or analyze the Vault data. Access is exclusive to the owning lawyer's account, cryptographically isolated by owner_user_id on every query (any cross-tenant attempt returns a 404 indistinguishable from non-existence).
Coach does not store the semantic content of the responses. Only prosodic features (4 numbers per response) and timestamps. The lawyer's questions, when provided as text, are stored for the report — the lawyer is responsible for not including privileged matter in that field. In the Vault (Tier 2+), the lawyer has the additional responsibility of not entering privileged content in the client name, case reference, notes, or tags — although encrypted at rest, such fields appear decrypted on the lawyer's own dashboard screens, in LGPD exports, and in LLM-generated briefs.
The Operator's maximum aggregate civil liability, arising from any claim related to the service, is limited to the greater of the following amounts: (i) the total actually paid by the User to the Operator in the 12 (twelve) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim; or (ii) R$ 1,000.00 (one thousand reais). This limitation does not apply in cases of proven willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Operator.
